Travel to South Korea

Seoul is a big metropolitan city and each district has its distinctive character and identity. We hope you will use this chance to explore and enjoy one of the most vibrant capital cities in the world.

To find an accommodation in Seoul, you can use all major accommodation websites or apps like booking.com or Airbnb.

If you wish to stay in the vicinity of the wedding venue, and yet be at a walking distance from the main touristic attractions, you may consider staying in the Jongro district (Insadong or Gwanghwamun areas).

Other areas well connected to the wedding venue and offering a good starting point for visiting the city are: Seoul city hall and Myengdong. You may also consider staying at a traditional house (hanok) in Bukchon Hanok Village.

A few travel tips

In South Korea, the Google Maps app does not work well. Koreans use the NAVER maps app (available in English), which – like Google maps – offers advice on how to get to a destination both by public transportation and by your private vehicle.

to get a taxi, you can go to a taxi stand (normally close to underground stations) or use the app “Kakao T” (Kakao Taxi). As taxi drivers may not speak English, it may be useful showing them the name or address of your destination on Naver maps app.

In South Korea, many public places have free WiFi. You can also buy a prepaid SIM card or rent a portable WiFi router. More information on how to stay connected in South Korea are available here:
